Good response for Duty Calls

It was Salford film festival tonight, followed by a few drinks back home. Duty Calls went down pretty well with the audience, and I have to say it looked pretty good up on the big screen. Everyone laughed in the right places, which is always a relief, although it was a good audience. Sometimes a short can fall to pieces, just by being too self conscious to laugh. I saw Julia Frost and Peter Sharratt there, both in different films, but I worked with them both on Milky Thursday. It felt like a reunion!

There were three of us from the film there, Me Ste and Paul B, although it was a shame that no-one else from the project came along to see it; they missed out really.
